The following test carried out in Italy, demonstrates the increase in efficiency of post-emergence herbicides commonly applied in soybean by the addition of Spray Plus® and Ruter AA® in the spray volume.

The control of dicotylenonous weeds in soybean plantations is performed by the joint application of several products containing different active substances such as metsulfuron-methyl, thifensulfuron-methyl, imazamox, cycloxydim, etc. Their application leads to high toxicity in the leaves of soybean plants, which results in a decrease in photosynthetic activity, less vigor and yield.

The application of Spray Plus and Ruter AA, along with common post-emergence herbicides clearly increased the efficiency and selectivity of the treatment. As can be seen in the chart below, plants treated with Spray Plus and Ruter AA in combination with the herbicides did not have phytotoxicity symptoms, while 35% of the plants treated with standard herbicides showed phytotoxicity.

Furthermore in the plots treated with Ruter AA and Spray Plus weed control was almost 100%. The control of Abutilon theophrasti, the most damaging weed species, improved by 10%.
