Tradecorp, a company committed to sustainability and product quality, becomes an associate member of GLOBALGAP
On account of its commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment, Tradecorp has recently become an associate member of GLOBALGAP, an association with global presence that set effective rules and certification procedures for agricultural products. The increasing importance of sustainability and product quality has boosted the worldwide expansion of GLOBALGAP, which is currently the major platform for setting standards for Good Agricultural Practices worldwide.
Tradecorp’s association to this entity proves again the company’s commitment to sustainability and product quality. In joining GlobalGap Tradecorp accepts its responsibility for the efficient use of natural resources, food safety, animal welfare, worker welfare and development and the implementation of production techniques that minimize the impact on the environment.
By becoming an associate member of GLOBALGAP, Tradecorp can participate in the different forums organized by the association, including those for the internal improvement of the partnership. Along the way the International company, present on all the world’s major markets, will be involved in the continuing improvement of standards that certify good agricultural practices worldwide, as well as in the National Technical Working Groups and other consulting processes.
GLOBALGAP was founded in Germany in 1997 as an initiative by European retailers and producers. In 2007, the headquarter, still formed by voluntary members and setting voluntary standards, counted more than 80,000 certified producers in more than 80 countries on the five continents.
