The following trial, carried out in Chile by a private centre, assessed the efficiency of Maxflow® Ca on apple trees in terms of correction of post-harvest quality parameters.

As a result of the application of Maxflow Ca the concentration of calcium in the leaf and fruit increased and the post-harvest quality improved when evaluated in accordance with the following parameters: pulp firmness, brix degrees, iodine test and loss of weight through dehydration. Figure 1 shows the lower weight loss following 65 days of storage when using Maxflow Ca.

In comparison with other calcium correctors, Maxflow Ca has the following advantages:
- Maximum concentration: 54% w/v CaO
- Maximum effiency against “bitter pit”
- With no risk of phytotoxicity for the crops
- Formulae free from chlorides and nitrates
- Application independent of climatic conditions
- Use of minimum volumes of application mixture
- Great versatility in application systems
- Optimum compatibility
