One of the
bases of fertility in soils
that can be cultivated is
the organic matter
content. The smallest
and transformed fraction of
this receives the name of
humus, which
is the group of organic substances
resulting from the first decomposition
process of materials with
an animal and vegetable origin,
called humification.

“He
who sells his straw
sells his grain, he
who sells his manure
sells his barn”
( Auvrgenat region saying). |
However, usual agricultural
practices such as excessive
tillage, intensive cultivation
and the reduction in contributions
of organic matter, in particular
of manure due to the difficulty
in handling it and its high
cost, have considerably reduced
the level of organic
matter of soils.
In this way, a third of the
organic matter has been lost
in the soils of the USA, for
example, during the last hundred
years.
It should be highlighted that
both the low efficiency
in the application of mineral
fertilizers and the immobilisation
and losses of micronutrients
and macronutrients, constitute
a challenge for efficient
and sustainable agriculture
with existing natural resources.
According to some references
such as J. P. Destain, Centre
de Recherches Agronomiques
Gembloux (Belgium), the losses
and immobilisation of phosphorous
and micronutrients in Northern
Europe reach 85 - 90 %. Also,
in accordance with the United
Nations, the efficient use
of fertilizers is one of the
main challenges faced by agriculture
today.

Therefore,
there is a wide field to be
developed. One of the solutions
is the inclusion of the range
of humic acids developed by
Tradecorp in the crop fertilization
and handling programmes. The
Humistar®,
Humistar® WG,
Humifirst®,
Humifirst® WG
and Humical®
products are of natural origin
and substitute the contributions
of manure by supplying totally
active organic matter. Tradecorp
has proved in different tests
that Humistar and Humifirst
increase the assimilation
and absorption of nutrients
by the crops. Their use provides
important benefits with regard
to greater ease in
handling, safety, speed of
action, persistence and profitability.
Tradecorp
has carried out important
and outstanding research
and development work
in this series of products
in collaboration with centres
and universities of great
prestige from all around the
world. Thus, the efficacy
and efficiency of
these products has been studied
by means of performing studies
with centres such as:
 |
Gembloux
Agronomy Research and
Development Centre (Belgium). |
- Centre de Recherches Agronomiques
de Gembloux, Belgium.
- Autónoma Agraria
Antonio Narro University,
Mexico.
- Córdoba University,
Spain.
- Agricultural University,
Lithuania.
Tradecorp has been the first
company in obtaining the official
authorisation for sale
of products of this type in
countries such as France,
Belgium, Poland and Switzerland.
The know-how
accumulated throughout almost
two decades in the manufacture
of this series of products
has allowed maximum quality
to be achieved in production,
together with the possibility
of formulating products with
maximum efficiency at an agronomic
level. Therefore, the Tradecorp
guarantee is backed up by:
- Tradecorp being
the pioneer in the manufacture
of humic acids in Spain,
with almost 20 years of
experience in the production
of these products. The production
plant is located in Albacete
(Spain). The knowledge accumulated
over the past two decades
has allowed us to optimise
the careful oxidation treatment
(reduction of chains) and
to perfect the technology
in the extraction of humic
acids.

- Using maximum
quality raw material,
American Leonardite,
which is recognised as the
best source for this series
of products. The following
advantages can be highlighted,
as opposed to other sources
of less importance such
as peat, lignite, etc.:
- Increased content of
humic acids.
- Increased content of
carboxylic groups.
- High bioactivity.
- Increased persistence.
- Maximum quality and
homogeneity due to its
origin, that being North
America.
- Formulating the products
with an optimum
balance between
humic and fulvic
acids, generally
with a 4 – 1 and 5
– 1 ratio. The increased
content of humic acids provide
a greater capacity for cation
exchange due to their longer
chains, less losses due
to biodegradability or leaching,
high biochemical and physical
activity and better absorption
of phosphorous. Also, the
reasonable content of fulvic
acids increases the speed
of action and the stimulating
effect of Tradecorp products.
